Zuster x sheBuilt: A Landmark Collaboration in South Melbourne

At Zuster, we are passionate about collaborating with visionary developers and architects to create bespoke furniture solutions that seamlessly integrate with architectural design. Our recent partnership with sheBuilt, led by Director Anne Michaels, is a testament to our commitment to craftsmanship, innovation, and supporting women in design and construction.

Working alongside Anne and Clair Agius of AGIUS SCORPO ARCHITECTS, we helped bring their vision to life for a landmark commercial building in South Melbourne. Inspired by the heritage-listed former ANZ bank, the project demanded a refined approach to materiality, detailing, and the seamless connection between architecture and interiors.

To complement the building’s striking façade, Zuster custom-designed bathroom vanities featuring intricately crafted door fronts that echo the architectural elements of the exterior. We also furnished the foyer and breakout areas, ensuring a harmonious balance between the building’s historic character and contemporary functionality.

This collaboration highlights how Zuster’s bespoke capabilities bring architectural concepts to life, delivering tailored solutions for commercial interiors. Through craftsmanship and innovation, we continue to create furniture that enhances both aesthetic and functional design outcomes.
