Oval Timber Grommet with CMS LUX: ADD004
How is it made and integrated?
The timber housing is designed and handcrafted in solid American Oak at Zuster's Design and Manufacturing HQ in Thomastown, Victoria, and machined to integrate the CMS LUX hardware.
-Timber is selected, and Zuster's Head CNC Operator machines it to the specified width (customisable, standard 300mm wide by 90mm deep), cutting the oval cable pass-through and side-exit hole
-The grommet is passed to the Cabinet Maker leading assembly of the client's piece, who fits a steel plate beneath the grommet to hold the cables
-The Cabinet Maker fits the CMS LUX GPO and USB/C module into the timber housing
-The grommet is fit-tested and re-sanded in preparation for finishing
-Zuster's Colour and Finish Specialist applies the finish to the client's entire piece, together with the grommet, for a seamless, matching look
