'A sensory journey where the arrival is paced to create a sense of suspense..'
Zuster is proud to be included in the Mornington Peninsula’s newest thermal springs and day spa destination, Alba Thermal Springs & Spa. Impressively designed by Hayball and immersed amongst the 15-hectare Fingal landscape, home to 31 different bathing pools, 22 elegant spa treatment rooms and a restaurant curated by celebrity chef Karen Martini. The spa is committed to respecting the natural environment and acknowledging its Traditional Owners – the people and elders of the Boon Wurrung and Bunurong community, members of Kulin Nation.
Our Design Director, Wilhelmina McCarroll, worked closely with Hayball Architects and the Alba team to custom design the Ribbon Café tables for the restaurant, in keeping with the soft curves and scalloped lines of the stunning architecture. Scattered throughout the restaurant is a series of solid American Oak café tables, perfectly complimenting the lines of the building. The restaurant has a luxuriously calm feel and is a destination in itself and is deserving of a dedicated daytrip. For the spa and treatment rooms, Wilhelmina also custom sourced the Sage faux leather fabric for our Sapphire Swivel Armchair and Cloud Stool, designed for the Spa area to maximise comfort and versatility allowing guests to fully surrender to relaxation. Here you can enjoy more than 35 different spa treatments, including full and half-day indulgent experiences and a variety of facials, massages, scrubs, wraps and even scalp therapy. There’s also a Vichy shower, which has seven jets that both massage and cleanse the body while you lie flat.
There is so much to discover outdoors. Explore geothermal pools, cold-plunge pools and herbal-infused “botanical pools”. Some are all about socialising, others are intimately tucked away such as the hidden cave pool offers views over the region.
